These characters were well-written and I could easily relate to them because the author brought them to life for me and I felt as though I was right beside them as they navigated the ups and downs of their friendships and family relationships.
I just wanted to give Emma and Sophia the biggest and mushiest hugs ever because they were struggling to deal with their own emotional baggage and their unexpected attraction to each other. Sophia doesn’t believe in love or happily-ever-afters because she has seen first-hand how most relationships usually end-in pain and sorrow and she wants no part of it. Emma is bisexual and she has been longing to see a rom-com that gives bisexuals the happily-ever-after they deserve so she has decided to make a movie that will bring her dreams to life.
What would happen if their endless bickering turns into a tender romance? The CharactersĮmma and Sophia are in their final year of high school and they want to have careers in the film industry one day. I Think I Love You by Auriane Desombre is a super cute enemies-to-lovers young adult romance and it is also a fantastic queer retelling of Much Ado About Nothing.Įmma is in love with love and her biggest rival, Sophia, is a huge Grinch where romance is concerned.
